BEETROOT CUTNEY

INGREDIENTS  :

beet root    :2 big
ginger         :small piece
seasme seeds  :1 tsp
coriander seeds     :1 tsp
jaggery            :small piece
dry red chillies  :10
cumin                 :1/2 tsp
mustard seeds    :1/2 tsp
garlic                   :5
tamarind paste   :1/2 tsp
chana dal             :1/2 tsp
urad dal               :1/2 tsp
oil                          : as needed
salt                        : to taste


METHOD :


Peel the beetroot and finely chop them and keep aside.
Take a pan add some oil,chopped beetroot,ginger and cook it on a low flame for 15 min keep aside and let it cool.
Take a pan add oil,cumin,dry red chilli,coriander seeds,sesame seeds,garlic and roast it for 2 min. let it cool and make it to a fine powder and keep aside.
Now add the beetroot to a blender and tamarind paste,jaggery,salt,roasted powder and grind it by adding some water to it and take it in a bowl.
Take pan add oil,cumin,mustard seeds,2 dry red chillies,garlic pod,chana dal,urad dal,curry leaves and add this tadka to the beetroot chutney.
Serve hot with rice.
