CUCUMBER DAL (DOSAKAYA PAPPU)
INGREDIENTS :
Toor dal :1 small cup
cucumber :1
onion :1
dry red chillies :2
salt :to taste
cumin :1/2 tsp
mustard :1/2 tsp
hing :a pinch
oil :3 tsp
garlic pods :2
curry leaves :a few
chilli powder : 1 tsp
METHOD :
In a pressure cooker add dal,water to it.
Add peeled and chopped cucumber pieces,onion and place that bowl in a pressure cooker with dal, turn on heat and let it cook upto 4 or 5 whistles.
Heat oil in a pan add cumin,mustard seeds,red chillies,curry leaves,garlic,hing and then add this tadka to the cooked dal.
Add chilli powder,salt to it and let it cook for 5 to 10 min and turn off the heat.
Serve hot with rice .

MANGO PICKLE INSTANT
INGREDIENTS :
Raw mangoes :2
chilli powder :2 tsp (as required)
salt :as needed
turmeric powder :1/4 tsp
oil :1/4 cup
methi powder :1 tsp
crushed garlic :4
METHOD :
Wash and clean the mangoes .
Cut the mangoes into small pieces with skin.
Add turmeric and little oil to the mango pieces and mix well.
Now add crushed garlic,chilli powder,salt,methi powder to the pieces and mix well by adding oil to it.
Adjust salt,chilli powder according to your taste.(Don't add too much of methi powder)
Serve with rice.
